To initiate , pictures related to ancient civilizations were laid on the tables in the grade room and the students had to see them , think and then in groups discuss and write down their observations and conclusions.
The students later shared their observations and an elaborate discussion led to the unit Civilizations.
This was followed by a brainstorming session to identify the Transdisciplinary theme under which the unit falls .
Students showed lots of enthusiasm and knowledge and applied their thinking skills to frame the Central Idea and the Lines of Inquiry.
